Contractual document supplementing the Terms of Use

1. Purpose of the Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets forth the permitted and prohibited uses of the Komento.ai service ("the Service").

It supplements the Terms of Use and applies to any Client or User. If any conflict arises between this AUP and the Terms of Use, this AUP shall prevail for all matters related to acceptable and prohibited uses.

The purpose of this AUP is to ensure:

  • compliance with Meta policies
  • protection of the Service against abusive use
  • security of data and infrastructure
  • legal protection of the Publisher

2. Scope of Application

This AUP applies to:

  • all functionalities offered by Komento.ai
  • all Facebook or Instagram Pages connected through the Service
  • Facebook Data, Client Data and Derived Data
  • any access performed via app.komento.ai (human or automated)

3. General Principles

The User agrees to:

  • use the Service lawfully and in compliance with the Terms of Use
  • not attempt to bypass technical or security limitations
  • comply at all times with Meta policies
  • refrain from harming the Service, the Publisher, or other users

4. Mandatory Meta Compliance

The User must strictly comply with:

Any violation will result in the immediate suspension of the account.

5. Strictly Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited without exception.

5.1 Scraping, extraction, or unauthorised copying

It is forbidden to:

  • extract or harvest large quantities of data
  • use the Service to bypass Meta's official APIs
  • automate extraction using bots, scripts, or headless browsers
  • export Facebook Data to external tools for non-compliant purposes
  • reconstruct external databases using Facebook Data

Any direct or indirect scraping activity is prohibited.

5.2 Reverse engineering and decompilation

Strictly prohibited:

  • decompiling or analysing the Service's source code
  • probing or testing internal logic, algorithms, or architecture
  • circumventing any security mechanism
  • attempting to map or analyse the Service's behaviour for technical exploitation

5.3 Development of competing services

It is forbidden to:

  • build a competing service by leveraging Komento
  • recreate or replicate Komento's interface, algorithms, or workflows
  • perform benchmarking or comparative analysis for competitive purposes
  • reverse-engineer or clone the Service's functionalities

5.4 Unauthorised AI usage or training of external models

Users must not use Facebook Data or Derived Data to:

  • train AI models, LLMs or machine learning systems
  • enhance external datasets
  • run large-scale analysis outside the Service
  • feed third-party AI or analytics platforms

Facebook Data must never be fed into external AI models.

5.5 Political or unlawful activities

It is strictly forbidden to use Komento for:

  • political campaigns or influence operations
  • manipulation of public opinion
  • misinformation or disinformation
  • hate speech, harassment, violence, illegal content
  • any unlawful targeting or manipulation

5.6 Illegal, harmful or abusive content

Forbidden:

  • hate speech, discrimination, harassment
  • threats, intimidation, incitement to violence
  • fraud, scams, phishing, identity theft
  • criminal, extremist, or dangerous activities

5.7 Unauthorised use of Facebook or Instagram Pages

Users may not:

  • connect a Page they do not legitimately administer
  • attempt to manage Pages without explicit authorisation
  • impersonate an administrator or third party

5.8 Unauthorised automation

Forbidden:

  • bots, automation scripts, or automated workflows
  • mass connection or request automation
  • attempts to modify Komento's behaviour through indirect automation

5.9 Misuse or diversion of the Service

It is forbidden to use Komento to:

  • bypass Meta policies or moderation systems
  • conceal illegal content
  • manipulate auto-moderation behaviour
  • obtain unfair commercial advantages
  • circumvent Facebook/Instagram native protections

6. Security, Testing and Intrusion Attempts

It is forbidden to:

  • attempt to compromise the Service's infrastructure
  • conduct penetration testing without prior written approval
  • overload or stress-test the Service
  • scan ports, endpoints, or internal networks

7. Data Use and Confidentiality

The User may not:

  • store Facebook Data externally beyond what is authorised
  • reuse Facebook Data for advertising or profiling
  • share Facebook Data with unauthorised third parties
  • build sensitive user profiles based on Derived Data

All data usage remains subject to Meta Developer Policies.

8. Fair Use and Performance Protection

The Publisher may limit or suspend access in cases of:

  • excessive or abnormal usage
  • behaviour degrading service performance
  • unusually high API requests
  • usage exceeding reasonable service boundaries

9. Cooperation in Investigations

The User agrees to cooperate with:

  • the Publisher
  • competent authorities
  • Meta

in the event of:

  • abuse detection
  • suspected violation of this AUP
  • non-compliance with Meta policies
  • suspicious or harmful behaviour

10. Automatic Suspension

The Publisher reserves the right to immediately suspend access, without prior notice, in cases of:

  • AUP violations
  • harmful, fraudulent, or illegal activity
  • policy breaches related to Meta
  • scraping or reverse engineering
  • risk to security or system integrity

Reactivation is not guaranteed.

11. Termination

In cases of serious breach, the Publisher may:

  • terminate access permanently
  • remove all Connected Pages
  • block IPs, domains, or associated accounts
  • report the abuse to Meta and/or competent authorities

No compensation shall be owed for a suspension or termination resulting from a violation.

12. Changes to the AUP

The Publisher may modify this AUP at any time.

Changes are effective upon publication.

Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
