Data Deletion Instructions

1. Purpose of this page

This page explains how any user may request the deletion of all data associated with their Komento.ai account ("the Service"), in accordance with:

• the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR),
• Meta Platform Terms,
• Meta Developer Policies,
• and the Publisher's contractual commitments.

This page satisfies Meta's "User Data Deletion Instructions" requirement for Facebook/Instagram integrations.

2. Data included in the deletion

Deletion covers:

2.1 Komento account data

• name (if provided)
• email address
• login details
• account settings

2.2 Connected Page data

• Facebook/Instagram Page IDs
• Meta Tokens
• OAuth permissions
• connection timestamps

2.3 Service usage data

• moderation rules
• banned words
• custom settings
• activity logs related to use

2.4 Derived data created by Komento

• AI scoring
• classifications
• summaries
• categories
• moderation history (hide/unhide)

2.5 Meta data imported into Komento

In accordance with Meta policies, Komento does not permanently store:

• full comment contents beyond what is strictly required,
• sensitive metadata,
• unnecessary API fields.

All such data is deleted upon account deletion.

3. Data not included in the deletion

Certain data may be retained for legal purposes:

• security logs (maximum retention 30 days),
• accounting-required information,
• fraud or abuse investigation material.

These do not include any Facebook or Instagram data.

4. Self-service deletion (Method 1)

The user may delete their account via app.komento.ai.

Steps:

1. Log into Komento
2. Open account settings
3. Click "Delete my account"
4. Confirm the deletion

Immediate effects:

• permanent account removal
• revocation of all Meta Tokens
• deletion of all Connected Pages
• deletion of all derived data
• erasure of the user profile

Technical deletion delay: immediate
Full internal purge: within 30 days

5. Manual deletion request (Method 2)

Users may request deletion by emailing:

Identity verification may be required.
Deletion will be completed within 30 days, in accordance with GDPR.

6. Removing Komento access from Facebook / Instagram

Users may revoke Komento's access at any time:

Steps:

1. Visit the link above
2. Select "Komento"
3. Click Remove Access
4. Confirm

Effects:

• immediate revocation of Meta Tokens
• instant deactivation of all integrations
• Komento is no longer able to access the Pages

This does not delete the Komento account, but removes all API access.

7. Automatic deletion due to inactivity

If a user remains inactive:

• 12 months → automatic anonymisation
• 24 months → permanent deletion of account and data

This complies with GDPR data minimisation requirements and Meta Developer Policies.
